$Police report a three-vehicle chain-reaction accident about 9:30 am on March 21 on the section of Berkshire Road lying between its intersections with Wasserman Way and Toddy Hill Road. Motorist Susann Varano, 43, of Bridgewater, who was driving a 2002 Cadillac Escalade southward on Berkshire Road, stopped for traffic conditions, after which southbound motorist Ceylan Eren, 22, of Danbury, who was driving a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV, stopped behind the Cadillac. Southbound motorist Matthew Plungis, 27, of Bethlehem, who was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck, then struck the rear end of the Jeep, pushing the Jeep into the rear end of the Cadillac. There were no injuries. Sandy Hook firefighters responded to the accident. Police issued Plungis an infraction for following too closely. —Bee Photo, Gorosko$

Wesley Learning Center’s spring fundraiser, Breakfast With The Easter Bunny, is scheduled for this Saturday, March 24, from 9 am to 11 am at Rauner Hall at the Newtown United Methodist Church. Fried egg sandwiches, bagels, cream cheese, doughnuts, coffee, tea, and juice will be available. Wesley Learning Center students Kayla Sinapi and Andrew Goldsmith stood with a bunny cutout announcing the event this week. Andrew said people should attend the event to support the school and see the Easter Bunny. A silent auction will also be conducted. The event costs $20 per family for up to five family members, and tickets can be purchased at the door. —Bee Photo, Hallabeck
