Traffic was miserable Thursday morning, when snow preceded an advancing cold front from the west and made travel on local roads hazardous. Minor accidents were reported on town and state roads, but injuries also seemed to be kept to a minor level. Church Hill Road was slow moving all morning, and was exacerbated around 10 when the town highway truck seen in the upper left portion of this photo slid into the rear end of another vehicle while trying to clear the roadway. The white Mini Cooper on the shoulder was not helping mat-ters. The driver of that vehicle had abandoned it during the snow storm. (Hicks photo)
