Police, fire and ambulance personnel responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident that occurred about 4:14 pm May 12 at 25 Main Street, in front of Booth Library. Police said that pedestrian Jordan Gray, 14, of 11 Lakeview Terrace, was attempting to cross from the east side to the west side of Main Street, as motorist Jeffrey Duggan, 20, of Southbury was driving a 2001 Mercury Sable sedan southward on Main Street. Gray was crossing the road on foot and then struck the left exterior rear-view mirror of the Mercury. Ambulance volunteers transported Gray to Danbury Hospital for treatment. Visitors to C.H. Booth Library this week have had the opportunity to look at more than 160 original works of art, all created by members of The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown. Booth Library on Saturday, April 10, and addressed their genealogy questions during The Ancestor Road Show hosted by The Genealogy Club of Newtown and the Connecticut Ancestry Society. In this photo genealogist Virginia Banerjee was meeting with Newtown resident Janis Bernard.
