Alan Katz, a children’s book author, visited Middle Gate Elementary School on Tuesday, April 12, to speak to students during Middle Gate Loves To Read Week, a yearly weeklong celebration at the school. The event was sponsored by the school’s PTA and overseen by Mary Blair. During his time at Middle Gate, Mr Katz also signed books and expressed support for the school’s reading celebration. “I just think it’s fantastic,” said Mr Katz. “I visit a lot of schools, and this school is revved up for reading.”  (Hallabeck photo)
