![Hundreds of people visited St John’s Episcopal Church for its Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper last week. The Reverend Mark Moore tried to greet each of them as they walked into the church’s undercroft. The dinner raised funds this year for the church, as well as Sandy Hook Promise. Each group received $667, according to Cheryl Moulthrop. In addition, “thanks to other contributions coming into St John’s from around the country, we were also able to donate to [Sandy Hook Fire & Rescue] for $226.78 as well as Newtown Police Union for same amount, and to Sandy Hook School Support Fund for $560,” Mrs Moulthrop said.
