The Newtown Senior Center, located in the Multipurpose Building on Riverside Road in Sandy Hook, invites the public to its Annual Harvest Bazaar, Friday, November 9, through Sunday, November 11, with an open house preview scheduled for Thursday, November 8, from 5 to 7 pm. Handmade items by members of the center will include knitted adult and children’s items, quilted pillows, afghans, hand painted jars, boxes, and ornaments ideal for gift giving or decorating for the upcoming holidays. Among the new items featured this year are quilted and hand painted bags of all sizes, polymer clay wine stoppers and floral pins, embroidered holiday cards, and fingerless mittens.
