Volunteers with the Newtown FAITH Food Pantry at St John’s Episcopal Church in Sandy Hook are grateful for the overwhelming community response to their recent plea to replenish the empty cupboards at the free food pantry. FAITH is now able to continue to service Newtown and Sandy Hook residents in need. Donations of dry goods, nonperishable food items, cereal, pasta, sauce, complete pancake mix, and other necessities continue to be welcomed during the summer months and into the autumn. FAITH is open to accept donations Tuesdays, 9 am to noon, and Thursdays, 6:30 to 8 pm. (Crevier photo)
