Newtown Police, Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue, and Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the Citgo station at 47 Church Hill Road following a motor vehicle accident around 9:15 am Thursday, August 30. The accident involved a Mercedes-Benz and a Honda Accord, with the Honda ending up in the parking lot of the Citgo station on its roof. The driver of the Honda was transported to the hospital; the driver of the Mercedes was checked at the scene but did not require additional medical attention.
