Taunton Lane house will rebuilt

$A three-vehicle accident on southbound South Main Street, just north of its southern intersection with Peck’s Lane, caused extended travel delays in that area starting at about 3:05 pm February 14. Southbound motorist Samuel Gates, 56, of 69 Main Street, who was driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty SUV, stopped for traffic conditions, after which southbound motorist Michael Ottoshavett, 32, of 117 Huntingtown Road, who was driving a 1998 Honda Civic se-dan, stopped behind the Jeep, police said. Southbound motorist Cody Williams, 17, of 10 Washbrook Road, who was driving a 1995 Ford pickup truck, then attempted to stop, but struck the rear end of the Honda, pushing the Honda into the rear end of the Jeep. Michael Ottoshavett and Honda passenger Lisa Ottoshavett, 32, of the same address, were injured in the accident. Botsford and Hook & Ladder firefighters responded to the incident, as did ambulance volunteers. Police issued Williams an infraction for following too closely. (Gorosko photo)$
$A wrecker operator from Sugar Hill Automotive Service Center attaches an SUV to a wrecker following a one-vehicle rollover accident that occurred on Mile Hill Road about 3:23 pm February 14. Police said that motorist Brandon Body, 17, of 11 Sugar Street was driving a 1998 Toyota 4-Runner SUV southward on South Main Street and then turned left onto eastbound Mile Hill Road. Body lost control of the SUV on the wet pavement and the vehicle then crossed into the westbound lane, after which it struck a snowbank and rolled over. Neither Body nor 16-year-old passenger Justin Brophy of 20 Boggs Hill Road were injured. Ambulance volunteers and Hook & Ladder firefighters responded to the accident. Police said they issued Body an infraction for traveling unreasonably fast. (Gorosko photo)$
