Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co. received a delivery of 500 Christmas trees on No-vember 25, and company members have begun their annual holiday fundraiser. Christmas trees (balsam and frasers, from six-foot to cathedral height), pine roping, wreaths (12-, 16- and 18-inch), cemetery boxes, kissing balls, tree stands, and even tree bags to help make cleanup easier are all available daily at the fire company’s main station, 18-20 Riverside Road. Members are at the firehouse Monday through Friday from 6 to 9 pm (by chance during the day), and weekends from 9 am until 9 pm. Proceeds from the annual sale benefit the fire company. (Hicks photo)
