Newtown High School sophomore Ashley Roswell tried singing, acting, dancing and sports before finally discovering that she is very good at art. The work she is holding in her hands, “Calla Lila Mug,” started life as a high school art class assignment earlier this school year. This month the delicate work is on its way to Seattle, where it will be down as one of the works accepted into an annual exhibition that celebrates the best work of young artists in grades K-12. —Bee Photo, Hicks<br />
