To suitably display the many shoulder patches that the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company has received from various emergency service organizations since 12/14, members of the Chesapeake Beach Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department, Inc, of Virginia Beach, Va., have donated two large, custom-made wooden display cases, seen at the rear, to the Sandy Hook fire/rescue volunteers. At presentation ceremonies at the Sandy Hook Fire main station on Riverside Road on February 23 are, from left, Sandy Hook Firefighter Richard Conrod, Sandy Hook Firefighter Jim Shpunt, project coordinator Scott Emslie, Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company President Brad Richardson; Chesapeake Beach Captain Brittany Boyce Coutcher; and Chesapeake Beach members Jamie Taylor and Tim Snyder. Ms Coutcher grew up in this area. The people pictured are holding the types of patches that will be displayed in the cases. (Gorosko photo)
