A two-vehicle accident occurred on Mile Mill Road, near its intersection with South Main Street, about 8:57 am on Wednesday, April 24. Police said motorist Joan Galasso, 73, of 55 Sugar Street was driving a 2000 Hyundai Elantra sedan westward on Mile Hill Road, as mo-torist John Gallagher, 62, of Brewster, N.Y., was driving a 2012 Honda Accord sedan eastward on Mile Hill Road. The Honda then attempted to make a left turn to enter the rear driveway of Walgreens Pharmacy, resulting in the front end of the Hyundai striking the right side of the Honda, police said. There were no injuries. Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Hook & Ladder firefighters responded to the scene. Police said they issued Galasso a written warning for passing on the right.
