State police report that John Angelopoulos, 61, of Fishkill, N.Y., was driving a 2005 Ford F-series pickup truck on Interstate 84, west of the Old Hawleyville Road overpass, when he fell asleep at the wheel and then drifted onto the highway's median, after which the truck hit the median's guardrail and rolled over onto its right side at about 1:52 pm on May 3. Angelopoulos was not injured. Hawleyville volunteer firefighters and Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps members responded to the accident. State police said they verbally warned Angelopoulos for failure to drive in the established lane. (Hicks photo)
