Police are investigating an incident in which this 1999 Ford F-250 pickup truck with an unidentified 2-year-old boy inside it rolled backwards into the house at 216 Riverside Road in the Riverside section of Sandy Hook about 8:48 am on Sunday, July 18. There were no injuries, but the truck and the house were damaged. The boy reportedly got inside the truck in his driveway at 209 Riverside Road and disengaged the vehicle’s parking brake, after which the truck rolled backwards down that driveway, went across Riverside Road, and then entered the driveway at 216 Riverside Road where it struck a tree. The truck then hit the porch and the northern exterior wall of the Magda residence. There was a person inside the house when the incident occurred. The truck belongs to Jody Morris of 209 Riverside Road. Sandy Hook firefighters and Newtown Ambulance personnel responded to the scene. (Hicks photo)
