Newtown Hook & Ladder and Sandy Hook firefighters responded at about 9:46 pm on July 22 to The Dana-Holcombe House at 29 Main Street on a report of a burning odor in the attic. An investigation uncovered that an equipment failure had occurred in some air-handling gear for the building, resulting in that odor, according to Fire Marshal Bill Halstead. There were no injuries.
