The security shed at Newtown High School, which was removed while the school recently had its entrance revamped and paved, has been put back into place. Steve Walsh, Jr, of Walsh’s Country Store spent about 30 minutes maneuvering the familiar yellow building back into its familiar position in the island within the school’s driveway Friday afternoon. The work was done after school had been dismissed for the weekend on October 8, but visitors to the school were nevertheless caught off guard when the entrance lane was temporarily inaccessible. Building and Grounds Supervisor Gino Faiella and a member of his department directed traffic around the temporary obstacle until Mr Walsh was able to relocate his vehicle… after the shed was back home. A fresh coat of paint was applied over the weekend, and the shack was back in business when students and faculty returned on Monday. (Hicks photo)
