A memorial plaque for Jerry Wilson was installed at The Pleasance this week, honoring a master gardener who spent the last six years of his life caring for the plants there and digging in new trees and shrubs. Jerry died last September 20 at Blue Mountain Lake, N.Y., while taking part in the Adirondack Antiques Show. He was an endless source of horticultural information and his dedication to The Pleasance is missed. The plaque was mounted on a rock to the right of the fountain, courtesy of Ned Steinmetz of Brown’s Monument Works, Route 25 in Monroe. (R. Scudder Smith photo)
