Newtown Ecumenical Workcampers held a car wash on Saturday, June 5, in the parking lot of Century 21-The Scalzo Group at 48 Main Street South. The group was raising funds for their July 3–10 trip to Biloxi, Miss., where they will provide home repairs for Gulf Coast residents who are still recovering from Hurricane Katrina. Most students worked to clean cars and trucks at the event in exchange for donations of any amount.
