$Police report a two-vehicle accident on westbound Church Hill Road, near its intersection with Edmond Road, at about 4:21 pm May 24. Motorist Laura Solano, 51, of 5 Brandywine Lane, who was driving a 2002 Saturn Vue westward on Church Hill Road, stopped for traffic conditions, after which the Saturn was struck from behind by westbound motorist David Hyde, 18, of 3 Owl Ridge Lane, who was driving a 1999 Toyota Sienna minivan. Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps staffers responded to the scene, as did Newtown Hook & Ladder firefighters. Police said they issued Hyde an infraction for following too closely. (Bee photo)$
