Photos for the week ending December 18, 2009
Network For Free recently launched its first Toys For Kids drive, and the resulting donations were distributed among three groups earlier this week. Group founder Scott Blanchard, to the left of the table, who is a loan officer for Mortgage Force in Newtown, celebrated the successful completion of the toy drive at his Church Hill Road office on December 14. For one month, toys were dropped off at locations in Newtown and New Fairfield. Representatives from all of those locations gathered with Mr Blanchard to see the result of the collection on Tuesday morning. With Mr Blanchard are staff members from Community Action Committee of Danbury (CACD), Bentley Dry Cleaning, Maryann Simmons Primerica, the News-Times, Newtown Youth Academy, Next Level iMedia, Nina Nails, Webster Bank, William Raveis Mortgage, and William Raveis Real Estate, all of whom received donations. Also collecting Toys For Kids but unable to attend Tuesday’s finale were Danbury Youth Services, Shaolin Services, and Villa Pasta in New Fairfield. Mr Blanchard’s family and members of Network For Free also provided donations, which were divided among CACD, Danbury Youth Services, and Newtown Youth Academy, which has volunteered to help families this season.
