A small school bus, which was carrying four passengers, and a coupe collided at about 7:06 pm on December 16 on Botsford Hill Road, on a sharp curve near the Housatonic Railroad’s rail bridge, police said. Motorist Luke Armshaw, 29, of Milford was driving a 2005 Subaru coupe westward on Botsford Hill Road, as PJ Sanfilipo, 30, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., was driving a 2005 GMC school bus eastward, police said. The bus is owned by Oakwood Friends School of Poughkeepsie. Police said that Armshaw told them that he came around a curve in the road and then skidded on some ice and sand, resulting in a head-on collision with the bus. One unidentified person, who was a passenger on the bus, was transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment, according to police. Botsford firefighters responded to the incident. Police issued Armshaw an infraction for making a restricted turn. (Hicks photo)
