Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Ladies Auxiliary President Laurie Comerford, left, and Treasurer Sharon Doherty stand among some of the items that were donated by Newtown residents this week for those who were displaced by a major fire in Shelton on January 5–6. The ladies auxiliary will continue collecting nonperishable items until January 15.
