$During a snowstorm at about 2:25 pm on January 21, motorist Michael Hidalgo, 21, of 4 Appleblossom Lane was driving a 1999 BMW 323-IC convertible northward on South Main Street, near Elizabeth Street, when a vehicle in front of Hidalgo slowed, police report. Hidalgo was unable to stop, so he swerved to avoid colliding with the vehicle, but then the BMW traveled off the road’s southbound shoulder, coming to rest against a stone wall, police said. There were no injuries. Police said they verbally warned Hidalgo for traveling too fast for conditions and also issued him an infraction for driving an unregistered vehicle. (Hicks photo)$
