Public Works employee Jeff Thomas on Wednesday, December 3, strung green and white LED lights in a Norway spruce at 2 Riverside Road. The tree stands across the street from The Glen, 2 Washington Avenue, where Sandy Hook’s traditional holiday evergreen has been decorated with lights annually. Prior plans to cut down The Glen tree last year saw the new spruce incorporated into the ongoing streetscape project that brought improvements to the center. Both trees will again cast a festive glow across Sandy Hook Center this holiday season. (Bobowick photo)
