Workers were still working furiously as of Thursday, March 12, to replace nearly 35,000 books to their proper places in the Children’s Department of the C.H. Booth Library. The Children’s Department has been closed to the public since pipes burst overhead, Tuesday, February 17, flooding the area and destroying more than 10,000 books. Library Director Brenda McKinley said that she is hopeful the Children’s Department will reopen over the weekend.
