Volunteers worked to sort donations by 2 pm on Saturday, May 9, that had been brought to the Salvation Army Food Pantry at Newtown Social Services through the 23 Annual Letter Carriers Food Drive, which asked residents to leave study bags of nonperishable food items by their mailbox for volunteers to collect on Saturday.
