Fraser Woods Montessori School preschooler Kody Hendricks, shown, was one of many students recently screened by Lions Club and Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) volunteers. The screenings will continue at local preschools and schools through October 2. Eye screenings will also be offered at this weekend’s 22nd Annual Health & Public Safety Fair. That event will be Saturday, October 3, from 9 am to 1 pm, and open to the community. Kody patiently sat for his screening on Friday, September 25, while Lions Club member Steve Bennett conducted the screening. Mr Bennett was joined by Lions Club member Doug Body and VNA member Anna Wiedemann for the day’s screenings. The effort is expected to screen roughly 150 preschoolers before the health fair.
