After protracted delays tied to hazardous materials abatement, a huge claw takes the very first bite from the remains of Danbury Hall on the Fairfield Hills campus September 29 while crew members wet down falling debris with a hose. With a half dozen local officials witnessing the work, the machine continued tearing away at the structure revealing a wall mural depicting a human face in profile that was painted on the wall of a third floor room.
