Police report that motorist Jane Ebling, 66, of Newmanstown, Penn., who was driving a 2014 Honda CRV SUV westward on Church Hill Road at about 5:16 pm on September 22, attempted to make a left turn into the driveway for the Blue Colony Diner, as motorist Garvin Griffith, 25, of Waterbury was driving a 2002 Nissan Altima sedan eastward there. The two vehicles collided. A passenger in each of the two vehicles reported pain, police said. Hook & Ladder firefighters, ambulance volunteers, and a paramedic responded to the accident.
